New Period Contract for 33kV Switchgear
Tamco Australia was recently awarded the renewal of the 33kV Gas Insulated Switchgear supply period contract by Integral Energy.
Tamco Australia has already supplied Integral Energy with some 240 panels of 33kV GIS to 14 substations under a previous 3-year period contract.

Tamco supplies switchrooms for Gas and Mining projects
Tamco Australia has recently supplied fully customised transportable switchrooms to two major projects in Western Australia.

• Our client HWE Mining was awarded a contract to design and construct the ore handling and train loading plant, as well as associated mine infrastructure, at Rio Tinto’s Mesa A iron ore operation, located 50 kilometres from Pannawonica in Western Australia’s Pilbara region.
  Tamco Australia supplied three switchrooms, ranging in size from 17m x 5.5m to 26m x 7m, fully fitted out with airconditioning, battery chargers and VESDA fire protection system.
  This turnkey project included the supply of 3.3kV switchgear and LV Motor Control Centres, manufactured at our Melbourne workshop, as well as the installation, inter-wiring and testing of all components including 3.3kV VSD's free issued by our client.

• Apache Energy Ltd awarded our client, Clough Ltd, the contract for engineering, procurement and module fabrication for the Devil Creek Development Project onshore facility, for the processing and transportation of gas reserves from the Reindeer gas field, located approx. 80 kilometres off the Port of Dampier, WA.
  For this project Tamco Australia supplied a switchroom, 28m x 8m, fully fitted with 11kV Air Insulated Switchgear and two large 415V Motor Control Centres as well as battery chargers, airconditioning, VESDA and Argonite gas suppression system.
  This large switchroom was fully commissioned in Melbourne by Tamco Australia before being dispatched in 4 sections to WA, where Tamco, through its subcontractor, supervised its assembly and the re-connection of services.
